Any shot when you are down 15-40 on match point will largely depend on luck because any shot can be missed (some more than others). « Luck is when u hit a net cord and it goes in, » you just proved my point right there–Fed hit the net cord on 40-30 (match pt 2) and it went out, bringing it to deuce and giving Nole more chances–>bad luck for Fed, good luck for Nole–Fed could have won the match if that shot landed in.

Djokovic was the better rival during majority of the match and made much less errors, which was the reason why he won.
@spicoli1931 it seems that you are the one who is confused..same thing can be said just about any shot attempted, when a player makes a winner down the line u can say he was lucky cause it went in. I’ve seen tons of similar shots made by djokovic, many against the same player..this shot cant be considered as luck in any way, as he MEANT to hit it, and hes trained to make shots like that. luck is when u hit a net cord and it goes in, or when u hit a moonball and it falls right on the baseline

@Killuminati1996 On 40-30 of that same game Fed hit the net cord and it went out–what if he hit it in a slightly different place and it went in? Or what if he hit the ball just so very slightly above the cord? Djokovic was lucky that Fed hit the cord where he did and it went out, bringing it to deuce and giving him another shot. In that situation, the circumstances (Fed hitting the net cord) were out of Nole’s control, and the outcome favored him…that’s called good luck.
@Killuminati1996 So luck « doesn’t get you out of trouble in professional sports » but it « may help sometimes? » Sounds to me like you are pretty confused. Djokovic’s win was dependent partly on him taking the right shots, but it was also a matter of chance that favored him (luck) on those match points. Yes he hit an amazing forehand, but I bet if he tried to hit that same forehand 10-20 times, he would miss a number of them…his making it that time is luck

@overratednadal well i cant’ stand nadal either, but anyone who watched those sampras ivanisevic matches at wimbledon knows there were extremly boriing. No rallies, points lasted 2-3 strokes, terrible ratings and barely watchable. Nadal is a steroid using, ass picking jackass, and if not for clay he wouldn’t eve be a top 10 player.
